Learn the origins of how the old saying "Look for horses, not zebras." became a common principle taught in medical schools.

Unfortunately, this principle has not been helpful to those of us in the carcinoid community who have been left far too long undiagnosed because Carcinoid seems as rare as finding zebras.

Support, Education, and Awareness
for Those Living with Carcinoid Cancer

Our group provides:

SUPPORT – an empathetic forum for caring and sharing, a meeting place for carcinoid patients in Southern California.

EDUCATION – replacing fear with facts.

AWARENESS – promoting understanding of Carcinoid; the methods of diagnosis and the success of treatment.

No one needs to face carcinoid alone. SEA for those living with Carcinoid provides the forum for sharing, caring and learning through Support, Education and Awareness.

We meet monthly for informal lectures, to promote understanding of carcinoid and to support each other.
